Availability varies based on market demand and inventory. Komar’s team works closely with customers to match equipment capabilities to operational requirements.
All used equipment sold by Komar benefits from the strength of our aftermarket service organization, which includes:
Komar services not only equipment manufactured within our organization, but also supports equipment from other OEMs, offering customers a single, trusted source for service, parts, and operational support.
With decades of experience designing, building, and supporting industrial waste and recycling equipment, Komar applies the same engineering standards and service discipline to refurbished machinery.
Used equipment provides a practical option for facilities seeking to expand capacity, replace aging machines, or control capital costs while maintaining operational performance.
From equipment selection to installation, parts, and ongoing service, Komar delivers end-to-end support—simplifying ownership and reducing downtime.
Our team understands both legacy and current equipment designs, allowing us to support a wide range of machines regardless of original manufacturer.
“Our disposal costs have dropped, which at least covers the cost of the compactors. Aside from the monetary aspect, the compactors allow the stores to be considerably cleaner. Cleanup at night is much easier because we have no trash cluttering up the back room of the store. All in all, we are very pleased with the compactors.”
Doug Gehrig, CEO, McDonald’s of Southwest Louisiana
“Our facility is a 110,000-square-foot operations center for Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania. We get between 1.2 to 1.5 million pounds of material a day, and tonnage increases significantly during the summer. The Komar auger has increased daily soft trash, wood pallets, and general trash efficiency by 30% and 40% with furniture. I love to give shock-and-awe tours to show off the Komar auger, which compacts 8.5 to 9 tons into each payload.”
Bob Kagle, Director of Retail Logistics, Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania
“Since installing our Komar auger, we have improved our operations tremendously. The auger units have reduced labor from six people down to one person, who oversees the conveyor lines and compactors. We have gone from a 2-ton payload to a 10-ton-plus payload, per 40-yard container, reducing our annual pull charges by over 75%. We have less downtime and have eliminated jams due to the slow operation of the old compactors. Best of all, we had less than a one-year return on investment.”
John Hefty, Operations Manager, GameStop
Our solutions are tailored to meet the unique needs of a wide range of industries:
We offer a selection of used equipment based on availability, including balers, compactors, augers, and other equipment. Most equipment is available refurbished or as-is, while Komar augers are always sold fully refurbished for long-term reliability. Used Komar augers are hard to find and when available, they sell quickly.
Refurbished units go through a full inspection, testing, and service process before shipping. As-is units are sold in their current condition without additional work. These units are ideal for operations with in-house maintenance capabilities. Komar augers are always refurbished and fully inspected.
Factory refurbished equipment typically includes a limited warranty. As-is units do not carry a warranty. You’ll receive clear details for every unit so there are no surprises.
Note: warranties are not transferrable and used equipment does not have any warranty except for factory refurbished.
