The Komar EM-F Auger-Pak® units incorporate an aggressive ripper feeder system and a powerful compression auger to process materials, especially wood, bulky gaylord boxes, and large cardboard flats more efficiently. This design provides a very high throughput while achieving a superior compaction density. The EM-F Series Auger-Pak® system is electromechanically driven and eliminates common hydraulic issues. A variable speed drive powers the ripper feed shaft and provides programmed auto-reverse technology to promote self-cleaning and improved feeding. The compaction auger is powered by a robust cycloidal drive and a heavy-duty chain and sprocket reduction, providing clean, quiet power for maximum compaction leading to unmatched reliability.

Advantages include:

  • Cardboard output is easily baled, as the shredded piece size promotes faster baling and higher density at the recycling center.
  • Located outside of facility (space saving)
  • High speed compaction clears facility backlogs and frees up floor space
  • Rapid ROI/Significantly reduced hauling costs
  • Continuous forward motion
  • Multiple feed options
  • No cycle time
  • No bridging
  • High reliability
  • Superior compaction
  • Reduced risk of fire by clearing material from building

Rpm / Torque ( ft-lbs) Auger 9.27 / 22,665
Rpm / Torque (ft-lbs) Ripper 16.76 / 6,267
*Tonnage affected by feed method. Systems that are meter-fed via conveyor typically achieve higher compaction levels than systems that are hand or forklift-fed. When materials are fed with a tipper or self-dumping hopper, meter feeding is essential to achieving optimal compaction levels.
**The weight includes the entire Auger-Pak® system with a standard plugin hopper
